The
Plumari Africa Game Reserve, in which Askari Lodge
is situated, comprises a pristine malaria free
wilderness area of over 3000 hectares. The Reserve
boasts an amazing natural African bushveld with an
abundance of flora, fauna, birdlife and wildlife.
Two game drives, each approximately 3 hours in
duration, are scheduled daily.
Late afternoon drives will involve a sundowner, with
a fantastic view towards the end of the drive.
Lodge guests are requested to complete the Game
Drive Booking form (available at Reception), and
indicate preferred drink for their sundowner. All
other guests are requested to book game drives in
advance by contacting us or by requesting a
quotation online.
Booking is essential - very seldom are we able to
accommodate walk-in guests for our game drives.
Kindly also note that game drives leave at the
scheduled times, indicated below, and late arrivals,
as much as we would like to accommodate them, will
forfeit monies paid. (See Game Drive Terms and
Conditions).

Game Drive Times
Game drives are scheduled for the best viewing times
during the early morning and late afternoon. Between
these periods it is usually too hot, and the animals
seek shelter from the sun in heavily bushed areas,
thus minimal sightings take place.
